3 Set Table Design

Currently involve in designing of wooden table, for which i have made a 3D relief...Currently i ma working on some special carved wooden legs for it...

This is another big project for my home and it is very time consuming;)... You can see my machine carved the center design in three portions and it comes out great..Currently i am facing problem with my only ball nose bit that is blunt and burning the wood..I have used it 3-years with all of my 3D projects...

I will be glad if someone contribute me few ball nose bits... You can contact me on my email address , i can send you my Posting address and specification of tool...

  1. Beautiful work! I especially like this table design of yours...classic.

I have been doing some research on building a cnc machine (one of my favorite sites is www.buildyourcnc.com). And it is always great to see others so successful at making such beautiful pieces.

I do have a question that maybe you could help me with...I see that you are familar with both Mach III and David 3D Laser Scanner software. Do know if it is possible to scan an object with David and have it translated into something that Mach III could use.

Think of the possibilities on a poor man's DIY budget. You could model anything and send it through Mach III to a home build machine...the creative possibilities are endless.

Any way I really appreciate you sharing your work, and I thank you for any advice you could give me. Please keep up the good work and I wish you and your family the best.

    Sincerely,

    Charles

  2. Loks like we are following same paths. I have buidl on budget my first Cnc router. And following in your foot steps with learning carving. Also David scanne was in my plans for the future. As per 1/8 ball nose. Here is couple of sources beckwithdecor.com and americancarbide.com. second one carries only 1/8 shank 1/8 ball nose what means that they are priced cheaper. I will e-mail you.
Cooperating and learning from each other would nice...
